LAS VEGAS – Wearing a mask inside a Caesars Entertainment casino?

Someone from the company may tap you on the shoulder and slip you $20 to gamble.

The operator of five reopened hotel-casinos on The Strip has launched the promotion to encourage guests to wear masks and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Over the weekend, a promotions team walked through Caesars Palace, Paris, Flamingo, The Linq and Harrah's to find people wearing masks while gambling or strolling the casino floor. All told, 375 guests got $7,500.

Thinking if JJ goes, brings 7-10 change of clothes, a couple of toupees, he could make $100-$150 a day

Has to be a tracking nightmare for casinos. How do they know if a guy's been paid already once today and if you pay one guy to do it, why not everyone you see? If my buddy got paid, I'd be like "Hey where's my handout".

Can't see this lasting long. Although its a free $20, it's really not worth it. If you're in vegas you likley don't care about Covid-19.

Caesars Entertainment Corp., the owner of Caesars Palace and other casino resorts, said an employee has died after testing positive for Covid-19. The Las Vegas company said it didn’t know how the employee was infected, but it has put a “small number” of workers who had been in close proximity with the person on paid leave after it was informed of the test results.

The death came just weeks after Las Vegas casinos gradually reopened their doors to visitors after an almost three-month shutdown due to the outbreak. The return of travelers has remained slow because the city is a largely airline-dependent destination, welcoming about 43 million guests in 2019.
