I'm betting Trump, for now. I think the Republicans are just better at winning elections right now. They have all kinds of strategies, some questionable.

While the dems also have questionable strategies, they seem to think changing the electoral college is the way to win. It's like they've given up on strategy.

Also, Trump's a master campaigner but this time around he lacks some of the people and elements that created his campaign machine. I'm thinking that is somewhat mitigated by the obvious fact that more people originally committed to one side are defecting towards Trump than the other way around.

It's not an attraction thing, it's more like repulsion. In motiviation, the defectors from both sides are moving away form something, not towards something, for the most part. I think Trump is winning that part of the battle.

Can Trump hang on to some key states? I guess we'll see. I believe more people vote for Trump than poll or admit and some of the same polling faults from last time are still there today; like who is polled and where.

I do caution the Trump backers about Trump not having some of the same campaign weapons that he had the first time around. It could make a difference in those key states, defectors or not.
