#6A lot of sensitive people get confused with telling the truth and being a racist, It’s unfortunate when you state facts if the other race doesn’t like it they call you a racist.

#25Oh that's absolutely the best way to cure our ills.
How is "Soros" going to hijack this is one vote per deed is the law and were limited to 1 vote nationally anyway??
Soros can buy a million apartments but he only gets 1 note and NONE of his tenants get a vote.
That, my friend, is fair to those who pay property taxes and fund the social services.Comment -

#26what about quit claim deeds that don't have warranty language? what about states where the surface estate is subservient to oil and gas interest with oil and gas conveyances that do have warranty language?
i mean if you wanted to rig an election to go your way. wealthy people and corporations would buy up all the land they could, make them into huge plots in the middle of bumfuck west texas. all of that surface estate isn't worth much other than for grazing. they could then spit it up into plots for whoever they knew would vote their way. gift deed it over to them or sell for a nominal amount.
i see why you didn't make it through law school. lawyers and hedge funds would eat this shit up.Comment -

#29would corporations get to vote. chevron is the largest oil and gas estate owner in the US. not counting their leasehold interest, which presumably wouldn't give someone voting rights under your idea.
how much of an oil and gas estate ownership would you need to own in a tract of land to vote? what happens when a someone owns oil and gas interest in a tract, but the tract gets split up into a surface development? who would get the voting rights?
where oil and gas interest gets passed down in will and intestacy, as i am sure you know, can get to where little jimmy bobby owns 0.004564 percent of the estate.Comment -

Those individuals, if they own a homestead, get a vote.
It's not that hard to understand...you declare a homestead on tax returns. That's pretty basic. There's the voting right. One per warranty deed/ homestead.Comment -

#32Not to beat a dead horse but it's illegal to vote more than one time or in multiple jurisdictions.
Why do libs always play up the most stupid angle to try and undo an idea. Seriously... it's a sports forum, we are discussing conceptual ideas to improve government, and this guy is promoting the proliferance of potential voter fraud....as his current political party prepares to engage an all out assault for online and mail in voting lolComment -

#33i love this. i really need you to write out the law. all i do is spend all day looking at warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds, oil and gas deed, and leasehold assignment. trying to find the loop hole will be fun.
so each state gets to determine their own election laws, so naturally, some state, mostly conservative, would implement this. the liberal states would not. the amount of lobbying money that would go into this would be insane. the angle would be how to get the law written in such a way that would allow people to claim a homestead in a state but work out of state, to get the voting rights of said homestead state.
the effort would be put into low population states so you can get the most vote per dollar spent. so like alaska, or north dakota, or places where the BLM owns most of the land, so you have very little that needs to be purchased to get most of the voting power of a state. like bezos just owns idaho, as his homestead, and he get to elect two senators of his choosing.
really, i love this idea. the results would be fascinating.Comment -
