State sucks the only half decent thing about it is no income tax (work only but thats it, OH forgot to mention only state based companies)
1.3% property tax one of the highest in nation
if a town has more than 400 people yep you guessed it building codes enforced
the utility scam running rampant in sd they are getting government funding for renu energy projects but are surcharge s to customers for money they already are getting(example water, sewer, trash, about $70mo after charges runs around 125$
electric same thing mega surcharges

meanwhile your local residing state like Wyoming property tax is 1/3 the sd rate
their is no purchase tax its all tax free so the cost is the cost you buy a pair of jeans for 15 that's what is cost, milk for 2 that's what you pay
