Anytime people talk about "bankroll", almost always their real problem is finding good bets. It only takes one year working minimum wage to get $20,000. Find something a little better than that for a few years, and pretty soon $500 bets are less than 1% of your bankroll. jj says 2%, so that could even be $1,000 per bet. Find a few of those every day and it's worth $20,000 per year with 1-2% edges. Then keep working to bet even more and earn more.

"Bankroll" issues can be solved in one paragraph. Making sure all those bets have an edge won't ever be solved by most bettors.
