      Let's see here.

The players agreed to a 30% pay cut. The revenue (loss) sharing plan will lead to a loss of 50% of that, so I hear.

So the $100 a player would make went down to $70, then a loss of half of that brings it to $35.

The loss is estimated and could be worse.

Every time you play there's a risk of injury, but I admit that the MLB is not the NFL in that respect (not that anyone else made the comparison).

If you were a pitcher, what would you do?

      This whole situation sucks.

Their contracts are guaranteed. But agree that it sucks. The owners are trying to screw the players to recoup lost revenue at the games. They are the ones to blame though, because they let salaries get out of control to begin with. The avg salary in 2019 was 4.36mill

Yeah, they don't want to give up the guarantee.

I suppose salaries would have been lower if they had shared revenue to begin with. MLB has had a boom in the last decade or more for sure. You can see it that average for 2019 you posted.

All the big leagues share revenue, I believe, what a joke the MLb players finally get offered sharing this year.
