#2I think it is still a loss.
It finished 3rd, but it can be like a prop so it could depend on fine print.

#6Finishing 3rd even if it's a triple dead heat. Still means he finished 3rd.Comment -

#9Is it considered a future?Originally posted by astonyou should get back half your money
Would it be the dead heat rule? Would he get 1/3 if there was a triple dead heat?
It's a bet not to place 3rd.
You got me curious here.Comment -

#11I did the same bet at bet 365 for a horse not to finish top two places and it was a dead heat for second place. I got half my wager backComment -

#12Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's basically the "dead heat rule" but I'm not so sure everyone uses it.Originally posted by astonI did the same bet at bet 365 for a horse not to finish top two places and it was a dead heat for second place. I got half my wager back
What they may do is actually split your bet, then pay you accordingly.
Or in your case, split the original bet, and then collect the loss.
Sounds weird but it makes sense. We see it in golf with first round leader and top 5/top 10 type future bets.Comment -
