You didn't happen to copy any rules related to player regular season futures, did you? I have a bunch of those and don't see anything about that in the current rules.

Those were exactly what I was actually looking for. They didn't have any.

I don't know the exact rule number and I copied and pasted this a couple months ago so maybe somebody can confirm it, but here's what my notes say 5d's general rule is:

Total season wins are graded for each team on the date the outcome has been determined. If a team does not play all scheduled games, and those games could make a difference in the outcome, then the selection is "no action".

They didn't change anything per se. They removed one or two of the clauses which details how NBA futures will be decided. Let's not get all twisted until BOL actually screws people over. It's possible that they'll still follow those rules. Or maybe they'll hand out courtesy wins where they don't have to, like some other books have. Who knows? Meh. I disagree. I have no problem with a sportsbook waiting for an official announcement from the league. Doing otherwise could land them in a sticky situation should things change.

Theres no reason for the leagues to say anymore about divisions, seeding is done and not all teams played the same amount of games.

You're missing my point. There still is no formal announcement from the league as to how the remainder of the season will play out. In fact, they are still negotiating the finer details. What you know so far is second hand information reported by NBA journalists. I'm sure all of it will most likely come true. But again, I have no problem with sportsbooks waiting for the official word. Normally, that's exactly what we expect our sportsbooks to do, right?

Also no reason to take the rule off the page, once it becomes pertinent. What would be the motive to do that, other than attempt to change the rules of bets mid -game (or basically at the end of the game/season)?

And both the NBA and NHL have made official announcements. I wouldn't think twice about them still being pending, if not for the rules being taken down from the website in the midst of the corona stoppage.

Yeah, sorry, don't follow the NHL. Was thinking NBA only. NHL reg season is over right? Seems like you should be able to request division winners / and season win totals to be graded.

and conference winners/overall champ should remain, that's a no-brainer YES action

Well when you have a rule that makes cancelling clear as day, and then attempt to take it down only on the remote chance it it actually becomes pertinent, you get confusion!

That is incorrect the NBA governors formally voted on tgeir plan to rrsume the season last Thursday, a formal announcement by Silver is not mecessary or required.

Everything is tenative right now, their could be another vote, that being said both the nhl and nba have clearly said what their plan is. Their is no reason to tgink eithwr plan will change unless the facts change. I dont give a shit that they havent determined what hotels people will stay at the plan is out and has been voted on. Again their is no reason either plan will chamge unless the facta change.

The point is the NBA has made it clear they are not going to bring all 32 teams back under any scenario, which means the regular season is almost certainly over and a decision should be made on divisional futures.

Id assume every book without an official rule that still has it pending will see if the league announces a division winner. Otherwise, I really dont know what they are waiting for.

Id assume any books that had a rule when wagers were placed that XX games are need for action will honor wagers based on that number.

Mybookie made a decision, theyve apparaently voided all NHL divisiinal bets. Betdsi is the only book that has graded divisional futures as losses for teams that had a shot to win the division. They look bad being the only book to make this decision.

No one's asking you to care. But we were discussing why books weren't paying out on NBA futures. Nothing is official yet. It's as simple as that.

Any news on this? I know we haven't hit the restart date yet which should clarify things, but was wondering if anyone has reached out to BOL to see how they will be grading this. I attempted to reach out via chat but kept receiving the answer : management decision. I tried to ask what the decision was, but the response was : management division. Par for the course.

I sent them the rule from their website (80 games nba 77/nhl for action) but have gotten no answer (from multiple sources) when I asked if they intended to honor it. No surprise but obviously disappointing.

I wouldn't expect responses to individual players until they're prepared to make an official announcement to everyone. Nearly all books have approached it this way, for obvious reasons.
