The semantics of "postponed" vs "cancelled"

.....is a refund due to the TV network from leagues, to the distributors from the networks, from the networks to the consumer????

Evidently the answer is NO is the leagues are simply postponed rather than cancelled.

If cancelled, then a whole lotta money is legally obligated to start moving backwards, starting w the leagues owners paying back the networks.

Very interesting. Leave it to NY to focus on this rather than coronavirus issues.

I canceled my DISH network TV service.

It is a joke that the basic package is 130 a month now and with no sports they were unwilling to lower it.

It has all the sports channels that DISH had except for the Pac12 channel and is only 50 a month

i have 250 channels+ with directv plus sports and it is $70 including tax..i have no contract now

i can watch it on computers and mobile which is the big thing

When I first signed up it was 79.99 a month.

I like to suspended my service from April to the end of August and because I did this it made me ineligible for their introductory rate.

Went up to 120 after I did this and they added a couple of price increases to bring it up to 130.

To top it all off they been in a spat with the regional sports networks and have not had them part of the service for the last 2 years.

This is an important issue; without legal clarification, the leagues and networks can easily screw the consumer by declaring "postponed".

I read somewhere that airlines and travel agencies are changing verbiage in docs to screw people too. Greedy ass companies don't wanna pay refunds so they try to be sneaky by changing words around. Unreal.

I’m sitting on 22 tickets for the last 4
hockey games that were not played in Montreal.

Im sitting on 12 tickets for the April 2nd Elton John
concert I paid $350 each.

I’ve got a total of 35 tickets for the Canadian Grand prix
to have run in June.

I cannot collect a buck on any of those tickets untiil such
time as the events go from postponed to cancelled.

Even then I won’t be able to cash some of them.

Expect Stub hub to declare bankruptcy soon.

Only bit of good news the Canadian govt kicked me
a 40,000 interest free loan of which I only have to pay
back 30,000k.
