I suggested this before but let's try it here again to make it little more challenging for handicappers and eliminating these just one number picks for all the races. If we can reward the race winner with additional 5 points (or ?), I think it might work. Also capping 40 max will help.
Or you guys come with some other suggestions. ??? But we can certainly improve....
Thanks for doing this by the way. It's a lot of fun and with not much going on really comes handy to take our minds off of the other BSs going on around.

If prizes were higher, would definitely be into handicapping the races. Problem is, you’re always going to be up against people just picking numbers. All it takes is one long shot and you know someone just probably picked a number and hit it without handicapping.

I do have suggestions that would make the contest more fun and challenging but would require too much work for someone trying to grade the results.

So for now, we’ll just continue to play bingo and have fun with it.

Dude, all you do is enter free contests. You’re just another SBR freeloader!

Stop complaining about free contests.

LT does a great job with these! He’s active all day long and he promptly grades and pays out. Last thing he wants is a contest that takes him all day to grade.

If you want to be rewarded for your handicapping, put real $ wagers on the line at a horse book or sportsbook!

We bounced some ideas off of each other and only settled on the $40 max for now. I actually suggested adding $20 per winner because I didn't think adding $5 would have enough of an impact, but we all agreed that if somebody just picked numbers and luckboxed TWO longshot winners, there was really nothing much we could do to combat it. So by setting the $40 cap, at least it cuts down on guys that pick numbers and with with ONE bomb. So if somebody has accumulated over $40 with multiple wins entering last race, he won't get beaten by somebody with no wins coming in winning with $50 horse.

First we are going with Gulfstream on Saturday, May 9th.

Next we are keeping the second BTC contest of the month on Saturday, May 16th for Churchill Downs opening day. Since this date is unchanged, there is no change in the Bonus Type schedule.

Finally, we are going back to Churchill the following two Saturdays.
