#39In order for that to be true, you would have had to have purchased $5,000+ of Roku stock, which I don't believe you did. Why lie to strangers on the internet?Originally posted by ThaTopMoronlast bet placed was 3-9

#40On sims. The vig is high, but the spreads can be 5 points different from book to book running the same game. The tough part is figuring out which books are honest and which books are prerecorded.Comment -

#42MyBookie has to be crooked. Yesterday they had Dallas -4.5 against GB in GB. I was in MyBookie live chat and they guaranteed that it was a good line and that Dallas is favored. Of course Dallas ended up winning big. I'm sure there were a ton of people on GB +4.5.
On occasion books will use demand pause while the game is running on twitch. Players request it mid game to prove the game is fair and the book will pause the game. Sometimes MyBookie uses it and sometimes they don't.Comment -

#45You will have to pay a tax on that sale though, easier with sports gambling to move money under the table. What’s the % on stock sale 25% I’m not familiar I don’t trade much or hold.Originally posted by ThaTopMoronlast bet placed was 3-9

i've been talking up ROKU since i bought it in a bunch of his threads where he is asking about how ppl are gambling, what ppl r gambling on, if they are cured... if they are going crazy not gambling, how much they are gambling on random ass sports..... etc

Originally posted by ThaTopMoronJJ i'm laughing at all these "pros" throwing darts at video games sims and sports they've never watched or heard of, don't know the rules... players... etc
while I'm over here... checking out my huge investment in ROKU stock when it was below $70 just 2 weeks ago
closed yesterday at almost $95... went down a bit on thursaday but it will soon pass $100

#49tax rate depends on how long you hold the asset.. pretty sure if you sell within 1 year or less, you get hit with short term capital gain tax rate.. If over 1 year, long term...Originally posted by BeatTheJerkYou will have to pay a tax on that sale though, easier with sports gambling to move money under the table. I've done well with amazon and netflix as well, alond with some oil and gas.
We had a two week stock run that we haven't seen since 1938.
Everyone's a genius in a bull market...however short term that may be.
But you're not just a genius, you're acting like a douche bag who's never been there before...lol.
I am a pro and you have no idea what I put into my work and what seems random to you, is market research to me. Don't laugh at pros then reveal that you haven't a clue what a pro might do in this situation.
I find value where I can, and, for example, that -1200 above was worth -5000, easy (meaning I can be way off there and still be in the money). Just because you've never heard of the sport, or understand, doesn't mean some of us don't hit when we can, where we can.
Times are crazy.

There seem to be a lot of posters at SBR lately that seem to know what it takes to be a pro bettor and how pro bettors operate. They seem to all be wrong on so many levels.
On a side note, it seems those same guys and more think that even major markets are unbeatable, they ignore a decent population of people that do bet sports for a living. They are hurting all over Nevada right now. In fact, a law change may give some of them a shot at unemployment benefits right now.
