Not true at all. They aren’t going to approve drugs without proper clinical trials period. First trial would take 12 months. Then you move on from that. Most drugs take 7-12 years from inception to market. Even with all the resources devoted to it you’re looking at 18 months or more and 18 months is such a generous prediction. But keep watching the news out there and having false hope for your miracle vaccine that isn’t coming for a long time

This drug isn't a vaccine so not sure why you are changing the topic. I've stated several times on this site that people shouldn't hold their breath for a vaccine.

This a a repurposed drug. How effective it is against Coronavirus remains to be seen. Sounds like the results of separate trials on moderate and severe cases of covid19 should be out in the next couple weeks.

Ok well that is good then I hadn’t seen that information. Still need approval but phase 4 is normally conducted after market. Thanks for sharing this information

Under normal circumstances. But the same regulatory authority that makes the rules has the power to change and waive them in emergencies. Although the drug's efficacy against Ebola was not shown to be better than existing drugs, there was a large phase 3 trial for that virus which drug safety can be evaluated.

It might be something. It might be false hope. We'll know more soon when the results of the 2 trials with 1600 and 2400 are published. I'm more interested in the trial of the moderate covid19 cases.
