[QUOTE=milwaukee mike;29393842]dumbest thing ever was a manager at geneva lakes throwing me out of the clubhouse for not wearing proper attire... i was betting thousands into those pools on a daily basis and he cared what i was wearing? i swore up a storm on the way out

I have heard about things like that on the Wisconsin circuit. These guys try to make a big social deal about the whole thing but did not realize the Greyhound business was waning. I saw the same thing at Bluff's Run. I went there on a hot July night and they would not let me in because I was wearing shorts, t-shirt and boat shoes. WTF

terrible business sense by almost everyone involved

I loved that track...not so much for the live but the simulcasting...up in the club house there was one old guy real nice who was there every day and was a big follower of Palm Beach esp he knew the dogs inside out. Dog racing in my opinion is easier to handicap the horses IF you follow the circuit every day. When I was out in Phx and followed every day I knew pretty much every dog's running style that is huge esp in a game where so much dead money

are you talking about the guy with the cane that had a special needs kid? that kid would go around grabbing trash... the old guy sat at the bar on the left coming off of elevator (track to the right).

me and a buddy called him "chalk man" cuz he teased us for bridge jumping on huge chalk

jeez i guess iowa was just as dumb as wisconsin

have you been to bluffs run lately? i was there about 2 years ago, i was literally the only person in the simulcast area (at least the soda and tv's worked lol)... fire alarms started going off at about 8 or 9pm, so i went down that ramp into the casino where everyone was just playing machines like nothing was happening lolol

You got kicked out of the dish lickers for attire!?

You'd have to not just look completely homeless but smell like it from at least 20 feet to be considered under dressed for a dog meeting down here.
