On Good Friday, reports suggested the German Football League (DFL) will discuss resuming the Bundesliga season on May 9 when its member clubs convene remotely after Easter.

DFL chief executive Christian Seifert estimates that Bundesliga matches could be staged with as few as 240 people inside stadiums, including coaches, medical personnel, match officials, ball boys and production staff as well as the players themselves

They started training several days ago. Germany not hit as hard as other European countries and this is just to finish the season out with no fans. Will be interesting to see how they handle a positive test though

Germany just did a better job with early action and contact tracing and plenty of testing. They isolate people. German efficiency at work like usual. They have plenty of cases.

I think it will be goals galore. Bet the overs. Fans are hungry to see goals after 3 months and the players will put their best to score goals. Goalkeepers will be rusty.

The standout game to watch should be Dortmund v Schalke. It is a THE derby in Germany. There will be some tackles going in! It might be worth a look at the odds for a red card in the match - but maybe the lack of the usual passionate crowd at Dortmund may make it a little less feisty.

Yeah the Bundesliga is a bit of a neglected league, mainly because for many years Bayern just run away with it and everyone else is playing for 2nd... The last few years with Dortmund pushing Bayern and this year with the top 5 all with a chance of winning the title, it has been exciting to watch. I hope that in the next 2 weeks or so, while it is the only decent sport to watch, it will draw a lot of new fans.
