Actually they re-opened beaches only for local residents and not for tourists. If you ever been to Tybee Island the only place for locals to walk or take their pets for a walk is the beach.

Same with Saint Simons Island, I own property there, and you can now walk the beach, it’s relatively small area of beach though

I agree, and would you believe they closed down the entrance to Sea Island from Saint Simons Island, residents only allowed now, even closed the Cloister Hotel on it. Sea Island Corporation laid off all their employees over the virus, I know this because my 83 year old mother still lives there.
