So, most of SBR will receive a check except BigDaddyQH because he has more money than all of SBR combined.

Could take months to arrive? Best case 3 weeks after it fully passes. How does that help people who are struggling now out of work? They need this now not in the summer. What a joke. I bet Canadians get their 2k within a week

My employer couldn't get enough heads in the door. I earned 62% more this year than last year at same place. If you couldn't save money in this economy you'll never be able to.

I just turned 40 and fortunately have never had to collect disability or unemployment but I manage work in the oil refinery’s where plenty of my guys and others take advantage of this. You happen to be from the Los Angeles area?

It’s the bottom line with deductions. Same as if you were buying a house or car.

So you earned an income that put you above the limit? What caused you to not be able to save some money?

So you know all people that make more than $100k year top 5% of income earners in USA or you know all deadbeats that are homeless or owe child support. Basically those are the only people that don't qualify, lol. Very tiny percentage of the population.

You're likely fuked if you didn't file in 2019 or 2018. Everything I read said based on 19 returns or 18 if the 19 wasn't filed. You can probably still file your 2019 and get the $ if you qualify and need it. Otherwise you can claim the $1200 as a credit for the 20 tax year and get it then.

the proposed bill includes language that allows people who receive Social Security – many of whom are retired and do not file taxes – to receive money from the stimulus package. ... Retirees and people on disability are both eligible to receive money, according to the Washington Post.

The bill makes clear that everyone is eligible except for nonresident aliens and those who can be used as the basis for deductions for another person.

"Seniors, veterans, the unemployed and low-income Americans would be eligible too," Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said Wednesday.

The original bill wanted a $2500 income minimum to qualify but the House nixed that. Now it's anybody between $0 and $75k single AGI. It doesn't matter if you're retired or not. It's AGI line on your 2019 return or 18 if 19 wasn't filed. Most retired people qualify! Just not homeless or deadbeats that owe child support.
