The Chicago Cubs ended 108 years between World Series wins in 2016 and were thought to grab at least one more with its young talent. What happened and what’s next?

They became a World Series team because of their farm. They became mediocre when they started spending money. When you have a high payroll, and Jason Heyward is 13% of it, you have a problem. They're going to have to draft well, and let the contracts run out before they can become relevant again.
