Yup. Plenty to do if you are staying in. Work out, clean house, go through house and get rid of things you don’t need, do some home improvement, read books, watch tv, foster a pet if you can afford to, learn how to cook.
This will all pass. Will average Americans get screwed? Of course. When don’t the? People need to remember what companies did their best to take care of consumers and employees and which ones didn’t. Don’t spend at those that don’t.

There are many fields of business that can and are thriving right now. Just gotta think what is in major demand right now besides toilet paper.

i too think they need to get things going again sooner than medical experts suggest...... certainly more than 2 weeks from now.
what is a depression? 10% down gdp two quarters in a row? or is it 10% unemployment rate?........ i think you will see both. you might not have seen both if this were february 10th, but this is easily going to spill over to 2nd quarter..... oops, now that i think about it, the question might be more whether Q1 is incredibly weak. i think so.

If we don't sacrifice a few months of shutdown, we're going to end up losing years from spread.

I don’t agree this virus is so easy to catch anyone even getting groceries can easily catch it no way to stop it guys gold is right will be far more suicides then deaths from this if everyone broke and I know it’s self choice but tobacco kills 1,300 Americans a day! 1,300 so think about that for a minute

Seriously I’m just making a simple statement people want to shut the entire country down yet we freely sell tobacco to any American and after 30 or so plus years we have reliable data showing just in USA 1300 people die of tobacco abuse a day! sorry for the error my previous number was wrong. Still so let’s shut a country down and have everyone broke as fuk In 2018, there were 48,344 recorded suicides in USA I understand this is self inflicted and not innocent get it but seriously people are we going to hide in our house and only go out for groceries I guarantee that most of you going out for groceries are not being safe enough to protect yourself from this....how many times does produce or a bag of chips be touched? Idk I have basically taken the stance I’ll do my best but I’m not draining my life savings over fear. Many of you would be shot in a struggle over 1000 Dollars in your wallet yet your laying down for something you will probably get regardless idk stay safe check you oxygen levels if you feel sick wash your hands! Do your best but don’t bury yourselves. We in Washington state one of the hardest hit a friend of mine had some issues they tested him he was still feeling shitty he was immediately put in hospital and now is monitored don’t believe the media and everything they say. I’m feeling at this point a lot, not all, but lots are using it for some political game. Be safe but don’t ruin everything you have worked for.

Remember if Trump gets his way and things open up in Easter, and hundreds of thousands die because of it, Its Trump's fault, Not Obama, Not Clinton, Not CNN, not Liberals, but Trump.

de Blasio just said yesterday, and I quote “April will be worse than March and May will be worse than April”
So here’s my approach, I’m not listening to any more projections from politicians on the right, left, or center, I’m paying close attention to what the CDC tells me, and I’m following all the common sense heath guidelines.
Wash my hands frequently, avoid social meetings, if in a social meeting stay six feet away minimum from all but immediate family, eat right, etc. etc. etc.....

New Zealand is in lockdown for four weeks starting today. If we didn't, the health expert estimate that tens of thousand would've died.
We have a population of 4 million.

Spot on. I don't understand why people refuse to listen to people that actually know their shit, it's astonishing why many feel the need to be "special" and look for alternative truths just for the sake of it.
