I just answer the phone all day "sorry we don't have that it's on backorder"
Who is still told to go to work during the quarantine?

#39EMT, paramedic, nurse, plastic surgeon?Originally posted by WvGamblerI’m in the medical field. I’m “essential” but have the ability to set my own restrictions. Not sure what I’m going to do yet. I took a month off for vacation, but I’m due back in about 2 weeks.Comment -

#49They laid off 70% of my company today, myself included. On Friday last week, they made all of us who were still working at the office pack up our computers and go work remote. 3 days before that, one of our top execs had a conf meeting to assure us we didnt need to worry about our jobs. Today the axe came down. I just hope this doesn't happen to everyone.Comment -

#53I go in to our spots daily. Most of the guys coming in as well. Prior to this it was a lot of solitary work and everyone was wearing scrubs and masks. Anyone that wanted or needed to stay home was welcome to. They get paid regular wages but no crop and wash bonus, which we all agreed was fair.
The retail spots all are closed except for delivery. I don’t deal with that side but my dad said they are licensing them quickly but getting the vans set up and security protocols reinforced take time. These drivers are ripe for robbery. All cash and product and they are not allowed to have a firearm in vehicle.
All I know is we are growing some very good meds right now. Pressed out some just out the freeze dryer starburst into out of this world rosin.Comment -

#54Still going to work (maintaining social distancing & sanitizing workstations before and after use), as the government deems it an essential service. It's busy as hell right now and the company is begging people to work extra shifts. We are short people on every shift due to those that have been forced into self-isolation.Comment -

#57still working, been working all along. business as usual working for an "essential" distribution company.
I know some people are goin nuts stuck at home but I would love a 2 week isolation vacation about now! Also appreciate getting that regular paycheck now too tho.
Drivings been a breeze the last few weeks with people staying home and no school zones!
Most people respecting the social distancing and many wearing masks but still those who don't seem to get it.Comment -

#59Work in the maintenance department at a major hotel in Southern California and am still permitted to work, although fewer hours. A week and a half ago we were two days from closing the doors due to lack of business but then a group of people needing 30 rooms for five weeks came and so I can still collect a paycheck. Many of my coworkers are laid off as our kitchen and bar are closed, and we are only giving limited housekeeping service.Comment -

#69It's a nice day for it. Sorry, no coke, but as for the beers-- there is one cool thing to come out of all this lockdown crap. Whenever I go for some takeout from a place that usually serves both food and alcohol, they always ask me "Would you like a beer or a cocktail to go with that?" That's a change I wouldn't mind seeing made permanent in California. Now I can walk around with a bag of food in one hand, and a Jameson in the other.Originally posted by KnuckleHeadzI’ll be golfing in your hood tomorrow morning.
