Governors call up the National Guard to battle Coronavirus

Governors across 22 states have mobilized components of the Army and Air National Guard to assist in their state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin have all activated Guard components.

Puerto Rico is the first and only U.S. territory to also activate guardsmen thus far.

NEWARK, N.J - People need to be off the streets of Newark, New Jersey, every night at 8 p.m. and non-essential businesses need to shut down completely until further notice, the mayor announced on Wednesday night.

Mayor Ras Baraka announced several measures as part of an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus in the Garden State's largest city. They will be in effect through at least April 1, when the city will re-evaluate.

The mandatory 8 p.m. curfew means no one is allowed to be in public except in an emergency or commuting to and from work.

people comparing the NYC situation to the rest of the country....NYC is a cesspool of other dirty countries' citizens living there. Millions of people living together sharing 650 square feet of land....social distancing is damn near impossible there.
