Cool idea. Will likely need 10-12 starting pitchers. Offenses should do well if they get to face AAA pitchers half the time.

Why shorten the playoffs. Early October is when the regular seasin normally ends.

If it drags into August then do playoffs like they do in soccer FA Cup. Draw 16 teams of AL and NL in 8 games for each league. Play a 3 game series. Home team decided by drawing order. The go to 4 teams, 2 teams and winners of each league play in the WS for best of seven.

No need to play regular season. Do a Cup format.

Season supposed to end September 29. I added a round to the playoffs to allow more teams in it because we only have divisional games to reduce travel and because an 80 game season is high variance
