Sad News for Barona's workers... $$$ ends today... Medical ends in 41 days

As a result of this extended closure, the magnitude of the economic impact has forced us to make a heartbreaking decision. While we have paid all 3,100 of our staff members and provided medical benefits for the past month, this is no longer a reality for us. We have reached the unfortunate point that we will have to furlough our staff members as of April 20, 2020. The Barona Tribe will continue to pay medical benefits through May 31, 2020.

they are lucky they got paid that long. i stopped getting paid the day i got laid off. They can still collect the unemployment and get the extra $600/week. The porters, front desk agents, housekeepers, rewards desk, buffet staff, they will actually all get a pay raise now being on unemployment. they are probably celebrating it.

Brings back memories. I used to live 15 minutes from Barona growing up. was my first casino. Would go in when i was 16 1/2 and 17 years old and play poker. I grew facial hair early in life. would go before class and after class. was in the height of of the poker boom so the room had action 24/7
