Most people are still working... if you just let everyone get the virus then everyone WILL get it and then the world really will shut down. I don't know what the recovery rate is but that percentage would down if the hospitals got swamped. Then there's the death toll -difficult to work a dead man!

The thing that interests me is that all of this has been compared to being "at war", but when when a war is over somebody has to pick up the tab. So will China have to pay?

NBA and NHL are done. MLB on the brink right now. They could play half season. MLS could also play half season.

MLB could start later next year if they have to push this season until December. They can play the playoffs in Arizona and Miami if needed and all teams can be on neutral ground.
