#116Crazy is I might have already had it back in January. Since China didn’t announce it for about a month in, i was flying in and out of LA every week and I got a cough and fever for about 4 days but was only in bed for a day. Week later after I had gone over to my sisters, she caught a cough and fever but she was worse off. No cases were reported outside of China at the time but it was probably already here.
strange to think about now since my sister just told me a few minutes ago. Too bad I will never really knowComment -

#125I went to Walldeath at 4 a.m. this morning. Spent only about 100 bucks. NO TP. NO paper towels. Nothing like that. Not one single paper item. I figured I would get there during a truck or something.
I did notice that the highest upper shelves still had some food items on them. Short people can't reach it so I got that stuff. I didn't have much food left so these retards cost me a normal shopping experience (outside of what time I'd go).
People were taking items out of my cart when I wasn't near it. They pull that too. Unreal. I had 2 cans of Mackerel and only 1 when I checked out. LOL.
Some women with 4 kids had 2 full shopping carts and was running around yelling. This does remind me of Y2K. Same thing was going on. What are some of these hoarders going to do if they run out of food and they are 400 lbs. to begin with? And there is no food left? Die anyway is the correct answer.
i always have mine if im using one right in front of me as i get my itemComment -

#129People are dumb enough to believe it. Their own fault. I looked up some facts from the CDC.
35k people in the USA died from the flu last year.
Coron virus deaths. If you don't have a major illness 0.9% chance of dying if you catch it
If you're under 70 and catch it, 3.6%, if you're under 60 and catch it, 1.8% chance of dying.
SSTTAWWPP
It's not the death rate, it's the fact there are no virus blockers to help you fight it. That means a fairly decent percentage of elderly people or people in "risk groups" (that's heart condition, diabetes etc) have a serious problem. The death rate is correct with proper care and people being intubated and put on ventilators. When all of a sudden you have 20k people infected in 1 area with 4% needing to be put on a ventilator, you do the math...you decide who lives and dies. The US has about 4 hospital beds for every 1000 people and way fewer ICU or ventilators. There ARE NOT enough beds, not enough ICU rooms, not enough ventilators or docters/nurses to take care of everybody that needs treatment. That is the issue. Not the death rate.
A small percentage of healthy 20-50 year olds needs hospital care as well. That means eldery people, or you dad who had heart surgery 2 years ago, or your grandmother... is now bering triaged and put on the "no care" list because younger people have much a better chance of making it with proper care. Quarantining is about spreading out the peak curve of infected to give as many people as possible a chance to get care.
This is serious, I am not joking. If you get it, you will more than probably be fine and only get a little cough. But you could infect your family, and some people you know and care about could end up not getting the care they need because the health care capacity is simply not there.
I don't want to spread any doomsday images or words, but please take care. It's happening RIGHT NOW in parts of Europe and I'm very afraid it's already too late to stop in the US as well.
I was like you a week ago, thinking the media was blowing it way out of proportion saying it's no worse than flu, why destroy our economy etc etc but reality is hitting really hard here.Comment -

There are virus blockers that are very available.
I wouldn't post the info on internet message boards though for fear idiots would buy them up and resell at a higher price.Comment -
