They might start it but as soon as someone catches the virus it all gets shut down. If they start the season they need to have something in-place where if a player gets it that only that person has to sit out the two weeks.

Padres offered me a full refund today if I wanted, not credit bs but paid back through credit card. They offered a few amenities for the 2021 season to let the money deposited roll over. So they pretty much know the seasons over, at best played in front of no fans.

They'll play. The majority of revenues comes from television contracts. The networks
and sports leagues can live without fans in parks for one season, but there's no reason
whatsoever to throw all that cash away.

a big group of players have contracts that end June 30

they aren't going to play and risk injury while not getting paid and not having a contract to protect them going forward

Player's reps and union already saying there is no point in going back.

They are making plans to play, but not in front of fans, seems like they will concentrate on getting many games played and shown on TV.
