Gotta pay him, unless you want to pray that you find a serviceable QB in the draft. Good luck with that. Then you may find someone equal to him, and have to pay him anyway. Or you can go with someone like Mariota, or Winston, and that isn’t an improvement. It’s hard to find a good QB, so you have to pay anyone halfway decent that wins a decent amount of games.
