They have to be shafting the Big O with less than 200 triple doubles when he averaged a triple double over seasons.

That was the list provided to me from BR.
              I stand corrected.

I didnt see it as an all time list. I read it as players with comparable numbers, and how long it took them.

                  Team getting worse

He is a turnover machine now

He looks tired and just taking wild 3's most of the time

So 4 of the top 13 all time triple double leaders play together on same teams? Wow never woulda guessed that. James and Rondo, Westbrook and Harden. That's pretty crazy to think about.

A lot easier for triple doubles now as well because typically it's more guard oriented guys doing it, and they can get more rebounds despite not being as tall due to so many long rebounds due to so many looong 3's being taken

Crazy the Big O is still so far ahead of Russ. That record is unlikely to ever fall.

Edit: well until Luka breaks it

he played in the true run and gun era.

stats were inflated around the board

For the most part stats are overrated, not entirely.
Yes, it's easier for a team playing the Rockets to gather rebounds because when Houston hoists a three point attempt (see Harden) the other four offensive players are standing around with their thumbs up their ass muttering these words "not again James?"

Assists are just as tough (or easy) as it's ever been though.

Yes, the lack of defense in today's NBA game does make stat padding easier.

Still the most irrelevant stat in any sport is the save in MLB.

Luka should smash the record, as long as he stays healthy, and doesn’t retire early. Guy has a good 15 more years in the league at a high level. He’s not an athletic freak, so the wear on his body won’t be as much as the guys jumping out of the gym, and stressing their lower body out.
