#11good thread and interesting responses.
8 years old. my dad would go to OTB and let me do a parlay card with a guy there on Saturdays for college football.
i also did the football sheet at my dad's job weekly against the spread from 10 thru 15.
serious gambling though started 21 with my first credit card depositing into sports interaction.Comment -

Lost my first bet when I took the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 12. Should have seen that as a sign of things to come. Had to pay off my bet with a Hot Wheels car.Comment -

#18Started betting sports at 20. Kind of fell into it as I was in college and started an affiliate marketing website promoting various products. One of them being John Morrison's chase system. Started reading more into it and then I found this forum and it's all downhill after that. Got some financial aid money and played online roulette for awhile, won like $3k in an hour and then lost it all.
Was heavy into it from ages 20-22 and then took like 8 or 9 years off and here I am.
Learned a lot over the years. Started as a get rich quick kinda thing. Now I realize, not possible and play for fun. Game can be beat but extremely hard to do so.Comment -

$5 to win $95 on a 5 teamer.
. Ties lost of course. Always on key #s. Should have paid 40-1. Ha. His uncle was having him pass them out to the kids. I used my lunch money instead of eating a couple days.

#21I'm not sure exact age. But i can remember as a kid, 7,8,9 making little friendly wager with kid in neighborhood, for something silly, like a baseball card or 50 cents. But I doubt we accounted for spreads. More like, I think this team will beat your team type of bets.
First time i can remember actually giving $5-10 bucks on a sporting event was around 12 or 13 on the Ky Derby. And freshman year of HS I remember playing those weekly football cards.Comment
