that valujet crash in the everglades had the former SD charger RB Rodney Culver on it.
People were giving him shit after the crash, saying cruel things like, why was he so cheap flying on that cheap airline. Hell, I flew on Valujet a lot back in those days until I started questioning their safety. I fly on AirTrans from time to time today. You're really putting your life in the hands of other people anytime you go on a plane. From the maintenance crews, to the pilots, to the overall company philosophy/approach. I use to date a flight attendant that told me years ago that a lot of pilots fly drunk/high. What can you do? I'm not a big drinker but I almost have to get drunk before I fly these days.

if your chance of dying in a plane crash is 1 in 11,000,000 is widely known, and you can lower your odds by 40% by avoiding certain weather patterns, then you now have a 1 in ~15,400,0000 or so chance
still, it is one in many millions either way.
I'm sure Kobe and all the passengers in that helicopter didn't have a worry in the world that morning about that flight until it was too late.
I'm going to try hard as hell to reduce my risk. I do it everyday before driving. I plan my schedule to be on the roads when they're less cars and not during rush hour. At my HS graduation we had a speaker say something that has always stuck with me all my life. He said, that on average (these numbers may not be accurate today) 20% of the drivers at midnight were legally drunk. at 1am, 30% of the drivers were legally drunk. 2 hours later at 3am almost half the drivers (like 44%) on the road were legally drunk. What was his point? Get the hell off the roads late at night. Get home or get where you're going.

Macker just know that your chances of dying in a car crash are thousands of times higher than when flying.

so just think about the odds because it is all psychological. it's the lack of control that bothers you. we are sitting in the back while the pilots fly us, and we are 30,000 feet off the ground, and going 600 mph. it seems inconceivable that the odds of death are so astronomically low.

flying on a commercial airliner is the safest form of travel and it is not even close

Absolutely, BUT, you MUST go to the airport, else you are fukkked. You also have to make sure you get there before everyone leaves, because once it's the next day, you're fukked as well. Although I found that airlines out of Vegas would give people a lot of leeway. I've showed up a day later, fully expecting to have to buy another plane ticket, only for them to rebook me at no cost. I guess they know people will miss flights going on a heater.

But that's when I'm smashing pussy so no.

Also there's less cars and you even if you are drunk just roll in the slow Lane or stay behind/go around the bad drivers quick like.

Never had a problem in 25 years driving this way.

Now what you DO have to worry about us this pigs. They will lie and or follow you till you make the most benign of mistakes.

The helicopter company can't afford to pay Vanessa. I didn't see that one coming. Others from the crash are lawyered up too.

Case thrown out. He knew flying could result in an accident.

Knew it! Suffered the same fate as Icarus, for the same underlying reason.
