Did these same experts pick TB to sweep Columbus in the 1st round last year or........? TB was -400 or close to it for series.

Doesn't take an expert to realize this same core of players went to the cup finals 2 years ago and were robbed by the refs last year or they would have went deep again.

Mark Stone is a big difference maker too.

Can't remember how they got robbed last year, but it brings back memories. Didn't they give the Sharks a bunch of power plays or something? I know the Sharks made a run when down in the game and scored 3 goals in the third (one must have been on a bs penalty or something). Don't forget they added Pacioretty too. I'm not even sure who else they added. My main worry would be how good is there Defense.

Fair statement

Martinez a needed defensemen addition, if they can pickup another half ass decent defensemen before the trade deadline that would certainly help their efforts.

Fact is, even though in 1st place currently, with 20 games to go, this club is no lock to make the playoffs yet.

Vegas was up 3-0 in game 7 with 9 minutes left. Vegas player pushed Sharks player off the faceoff and Sharks player fell and hit his head on the ice. Refs gave Vegas a 5 minute penalty for cross checking (when it shouldn't have been a penalty at all ref just saw the injured player).

Sharks went on to score 4 goals on that powerplay and win the game. Vegas was rattled and true they still gave up 4 goals but with no ref help Vegas wins the series.

Will add the refs helped the Sharks beat the Avs the next series too so they seemed to get lots of help from refs. Lots of people I talked to were wondering if the refs were gambling on these games but probably just incompetence.
