I have an idea for a tournament. People loved the World Cup tourney. So have another type of that event.

EXCEPT don't do regions, just make it where the top 48 qualify.

And then the top #1, 2, 3, 4 finishers are captains and they choose their teams of 12 people.

Then have the same final format and prizes as the World Cup for the 4 teams!
