XFL Houston vs LA game is..

Pretty awesome. Quality of Football has been good and the colors of the field and uniforms make the TV picture absolutely pop! The league has enough funding for two to three years, and having Fox and ESPN/ABC as broadcast partners bode well for the future success of this league. I think this might work.

If I remember correctly there were all kinds of technical difficulties broadcasting the games. Plus they wanted to make it almost like wrestling/Football which was stupid. This actually feels like a real game now.

Yeah that too. They've changed a bunch of rules. I know the NFL implemented some of the things that they did in XFL first time around.

Vince wouldn't have tried this again if he hadn't learned from his past mistakes. The man is a genius. He planned this out for over 2 years, and made sure everything was right this time.

unfortunately don’t see this garnering much attention. nfl is too popular, too historic if not partnered with nfl they should have and been allowed to use same team names as nfl and players on those teams are products of the nfl team with same name and players can be pulled from there that would at least hold fans of nfl teams attention to watch prospective players going into the season otherwise this is just a betting outlet and unless McMahon is getting proceeds from gambling how can this league last

I understand they arnt that’s clearly seen in the scheduling, but u still need something to hold attention to keep it on the air. just having more football isn’t good enough coupled with less talent and players nobody has heard of hate sounding pessimistic

I remember Jesse Ventura saying that the XFL was successful but NFL told the sponsors to ditch XFL is they wanted to do business with the NFL.

I watched some of the games today but I was bored. It is normal football, but I think the league really needs more star power. They either need to get some QBs that are big names, or they need to do something crazy like take potential NFL draft picks that would rather play in the XFL and get paid, than play in college.

I think if XFL set up their league to where it was a true developmental league (for players under 25), and tried to poach some HS or College players, it'd be better. They could possibly sign guys right out of HS, pay them to play, and then develop them for the NFL draft. I think people would watch that more than just washed up guys or older fringe guys

they talk about gambling during the game wont be enough to keep it around
