do we even have 100 sbr poker players, might as well just skip to the 100 player free roll, u can literally take 3 months off show up,last 2 weeks get a cash or 2 and qualify no incentive play every day finish top 10 everybody starts same chips 1 to 100 should name this the carseller series even that bum will qualify

I would rather see top 30 make the final tournament and pay 20 of them. No incentive to play with 100 getting in. I can probably play once a week and make top 40.

Not bitching though Sam. It's a nice tourney and I'm happy to see SBR offering it.

The daily tourneys aren't even worth playing anymore after the big cut in pts and def if u don't think the top prizes are worth playing for months to have a shot at in a 100 man final. That's just me. Hope all enjoy and ill check the next.

better like top 20 get in automatic 20 to 30 play for 3 spots 30 to 50 play for 2 spots top 25 all get paid finals, top 100 getting in is silly rewars those player every day do well not some guy finishing 100th w 2 cashes

If it has to be 100, how about make starting chips vary based on position. From 10,000 to 5,000 subtracting 50 per spot. Gives some incentive to play for a better position.

Oh wow...good catch. This probably means I’ll play about 25% of the tournaments.

Although that’s 25% more than I’ve played in the last 3 weeks.

u dont' need 4 months gridning, u need 2 wins 600 points then take the rest of it off come back for the finals

for world cup there was a total of around 132 ish players on leaderboard

35 players had 300 points or less

so get to 300 points call it a day come back in 4 months

Well seemed inconsistent. It was talked about that maybe the format would be paying people based on leaderboard standings - no final tourney. And the fact that you said tiebreak for 25th place was consistent with that being the way it would work.

But then you say Final tourney with 100 people, meaning you are not paying out based on leaderboard standings. And if that's the case, tiebreak for 25th doesn't make sense - that will automatically be decided by the tourney. I think you might have meant tie for 100th place in that regard.

Should make Weekend tournaments count for qualification. Make qualies more competitive.

How would that make it more competitive? Just even further advantages people who play more often rather than having anything to do with skill

I mean it barely makes a difference either way at this point. Top 100 is equivalent to a participation trophy. Even Carseller will make it

So that each days set of tourneys complete before midnight and daily scores are correct automatically.

It's not up for discussion. Whatever times are used some group of people will bitch about it. This is what it is.

@Arun, have you ever seen a poker promo you didn't think you could design better?

Just an ounce of positivity for once might see prizes get larger again in future. As has been said many times over years, if SBR Poker does not produce for the site it wont get bigger. And having never seen a positive word about it from anyone here on third party sites, SBR is loudly reminded how the word of mouth part of the plan is a total fail every single time a new promo is announced and you start with your paragraphs of analysis about what is being done wrong. Every single time.

Anyway. Nice job Sam. Sounds like a great design to get more people participating and more points into the SBR ecosystem. Much better idea than winner takes all I think.

Guys, let get off the 100th and 25th place thing. Who really cares? I mean almost everyone will make the top 100. I would guess that around 100 points will guarantee one the top 100. Hell I recommend any ties for 100th, just allow them to play as well. Just take top 100 and ties if necessary

How could there ever be a tie? Even if 2 players are eliminated at the same time, the software decides who is 26th and who is 25th

If the reasoning for moving the time slots up is purely to have the 11pm finish before midnight that's really silly. You are making it that much more difficult for non east coast or world players to play everyday
It takes 2 mins a day to score this manually.

So you could completely dominate for during the prequalifying stage and end up not even cashing in the Final Tournament. That doesn't make much sense too me. 100 qualifers seems like way too many people. Some where around 25 to 30 would be much better.

Again, not complaing. What I will say though is you're basically playing for the daily points and this is more designed to keep the tables active.

Playing 3 months to qualify for a tournament that you have to beat 99 people to win $200 in points doesn't really fire up the engines.

Just won $380 at a home game last night in 4 hours.

SBR is funny, sometimes they hit it out of the park, and sometimes it's like they don't understand poker or the players at all.

I think it simply comes down to if they have sponsorship money or whatever rapidly affects the contests.

As Big O said, it'll be silly easy to qualify. 100 is easily 2/3 of active poker players if not more.

How many in the top 50 get points? I believe it was 12 before or something.
