Texas line seems like a trap. Why so high?

Good observation here, but I'm torn.

My raw stacking percentages forecast has Kansas winning by 20 points. I've been working on the Hoops non-predictive public gauge and that gives Kansas a 16 point win.

But Canuck you're on to something because there is pressure big time on Texas. The contrarian in me and the contrarian radar has Kansas lighting up. Imagine that, Kansas a Contrarian play in conference play...lol.

But with this play, this strategy, the market analysis and contrarian looks don't quite apply.

I know it's general, but here's the idea behind the Technical Value strategy...

The KVB NCAAB Technical Value Fund will track NCAAB plays derived from a stacking percentages forecast that is enhanced by a few technical, statistical tweaks. The forecast with these adjustments, when compared to the market, give us another decent spread opportunity throughout the seasons.

This Fund will also be comprised of underdogs, exploiting some of the public thirst for favorites, but gets its plays mainly from focusing more on the weightings of a few specific areas. These areas include defensive stats like field goal %, forced turnovers per game, opponents free throws, etc, and combine them with things like pace to find those teams that are just better than the number indicates and control the game more than the betting market realizes...

I posted 14 at even money but I have 14.5 and 15. I forgot to post it at the open, where it triggered.

It's tough to bring that raw forecast off of a 20 point victory and get the +15 or +14 but when those Technical value factors are applied we get a play. I'm purposely not posting the revised forecast, but it's market beating even if this is one of it's worst years.

It looks like it might close under the 15 opener, but we'll see.

When we think of traps, Kansas could actually be the trap here. Often times, the contrarian bettor who sees the public on a large dog but thinks it's not all that large envisions the blowout, and he gets trapped, along with other bettors there for their own reasons.

Then again, staring at such a fat line with Texas seems to be trapping most bettors, early on here, including some technical strategies.

It's my inclination that maybe the Texas line isn't as fat as it seems, but it's true it was fat enough, barely, to draw me in.

I guess the laugh is on me when Kansas becomes a contrarian Fund trigger and I end up on both sides of the game.

best places to buy is hertz, and enterprise phoenix locations seems to be cheapest for some reason. Save yourself thousands just by slightly used. Can pick up a Nissan versa, or rougue(or like car) for way way less than any dealer. They are maintained and looked after pretty well. So it has less than 50k mi on it who cares(less than 9k). Takes a while for negotiations on phone but they will bid war each other down, they will haggle a no haggle price.We are talking cars not trucks that's a diff story
