Dak wants the contract before McCarthy even gets a chance to work with him. McCarthy is not a QB whisperer. I'm willing to bet that green Bay's success was much more of a Aaron Rodgers factor than Mike McCarthy factor. No proof that he is a better than average coach. Which is just a slight upgrade from a below average coach that just left. You have to pay Dak in hopes that he gets better under McCarthy. I don't think the offense will be any better. Aaron Rodgers NEVER had a great running game under McCarthy even with decent RBS.
