SBR wouldn't be in business if people like Kobe Bryant didn't exist.
Sports are a big part not just of business, but of our culture as a humanity.
Bryant contributed to that. He advanced it. He entertained millions, tens of millions, maybe more, around the world. He helped basketball take off in countries like China and Spain.
Kobe wrote and published books that were purchased by hundreds of thousands of people.
One reason we live is to have fun. Athletes give us the chance to do that. You are not just belittling Kobe with your post. You are belittling all athletes. Federer. Nadal. Serena. Tiger Woods. Jordan. Ovechkin. Brady. These people have given us moments that we've celebrated together.
Without sports, I wouldn't have met some of the greatest friends I have in my life.
Sports are an amazing thing, that brings people closer together.
You are also belittling the power of sports, which I don't believe is your intention, because I know you and you love sports.
Those are some of the great things that your pool boy, your local firefighter, cannot do.
When kids are dying of cancer and they have a Make a Wish -- they don't call the firefighter.
They call people like Kobe Bryant.
These people aren't just ball throwers. They impact peoples' lives.
P.S. As far as your accused comment, that's exactly what it was, an accusation that was proven to be false in court. Bryant cheated on his wife -- so what. He was a kid when he did. Cheating on your wife is not a mortal sin that can make you disregard all the other good he has done for the world.

This is getting old. No one is saying it’s more important than family. Or maybe it is for some, who cares. Blood isn’t everything. How someone feels after death is how they feel. These artificial rules about how we should emote that everyone wants to write are just dumb.
