Same with the point spread. That field goal covered the over and the spread, but the running into the kicker penalty gave the Dragons a 1st down and then they fumbled the ball which killed everything. Crazy how dead on the oddsmakers were with this one.

They are going to make a point to discuss betting during the broadcast. It will be a part of their talking points and in the production.

Not sure that will translate to the NFL or other sports, but XFL will make it a point.

Hard to tell. That sped up shot clock is designed to increase plays and thus scoring, but they are not used to it at all.

I think this was the first time the guys on defense could actually hit someone.

I think there was no hitting in practice, at all. So it's tough to make a call after week 1. Let's see what next week's line indicate.

I'm running some early metrics to form the lines, openers and refined. We really need 4 weeks of data to run with full potential, but we can start adding inputs right away. At least there wasn't a "buy" screwing up the stats.

Totals also come out way later (at least they did last week), probably for obvious reason with all these changes, so we have time to mess with this.

It's a ten week regular season, that gives us six good weeks to see the market mature, starting with week 5 and running a 4 week rolling analysis of the markets until playoffs.

Looking forward to running market analyis over this stuff, I'll post about it as well.

Ended up on the last upset live at +199.

Good action down the stretch.

Also, the two teams favored to win it all before the weekend both lost on Sunday. Love that kind of market.
