Chuy's (tex mex) right next door to shady grove (at least it was last time I was there, around 2010-2012 or so), it's pretty damn good too..... the one there on riverside is the original chuy's, now they have em in dallas and htown as well.....Comment -

shit, they turned it into a quick print (it's an old historic building -- like southwest telephone/telegraph -- the start of sw bell long ago).... that was sad to see..... some horned up lawyers should have kept the fire burning after i left..... they'd probably let you in to see the Octogon conf room -- it's immediately behind the reception area.....
on the upside, next door is my old watering hole, "SpeakEasy", at 412 congress.... it was a mere twenty foot walk to go from there back to my office to bang whatever babe I picked up there..... originally missed that post.... in law school, spent more time tappin' ass picked up on sixth street than I did in the UT law school.... maggie may's was the best place for "easy chase/easy catch" quality poon back in the day..... not sure if that place is still around, most bars open/close/reopen/close/reopen etc every three years or so.....
fourth street became the place to go for poon if you weren't a college kid.... scored plenty of ass from both, just at different times in my life... sixth street was two-three pieces of ass per week for three years minus one summer.... math on that alone puts it at around 400 or so, and that feels about right.....Comment -
The food here is great.
The Tex Mex is good, but not as good as Mexican food in California in my opinion. But that’s only because Southern California has bomb ass fukkin Mexican food.
Breakfast tacos are a big thing here, which is weird.
The BBQ here is TREMENDOUS. Already bought myself a smoker and learning how to use it.

there's a breakfast place on e. sixth st. (on the "bad side" of I-35, ie, where the poor mexican's used to live), where huevos rancheros is the best in texas (by many people's opinion).... may be called frisco's .... on e. sixth or seventh, kind of a famous place among locals.... you'll have to try it out....Comment -

I went bar hopping Thursday night on 6th and Maggie Maes was my last stop. I left the tab open then forgot to grab my card on my way out.
This place claims to be open seven days a week from 3 PM until 2 AM. I have gone back three different times after 3 PM and they were closed every single time, even on Sunday during the Houston Texans playoff game. Wtf kinda shit is that?
And they NEVER answer their god damn phone.
I think I’m just going to have to report the card as lost to the bank and close it down.
