The Clemson Tigers defense should be watching tape of the Auburn Tigers defense versus the LSU Tigers offense. Auburn was able to hold LSU and Joe Burrows to 23 points in Death Valley.

Auburn had the best defensive line in the country, Clemson has chance to have the same success in short yardage they did.

LSU is getting the backing mainly because of 2 big wins against Alabama and Oklahoma. Two good wins against really bad defenses.
In their only 2 games against good defenses- Auburn and Florida (both at home) they did not put up the big numbers.
Clemson's defense will keep this game close.
I get people are not as high on Clemson after they were mostly outplayed by Ohio State and needed alot breaks go their way to win that game. But Lawrence came through on the game winning drive.

They scored 42 on Florida, your comment is completely incorrect. They also went up and down the field in Auburn but struggled in short yardage against Auburn's elite defensive line that is more ch better than what Clemson has.

I'm on LSU at 5.5. Even though Clemson won the ACC, Ohio State was the first top team Clemson beat all year. The ACC was horrible this year, with Virginia, the team in the ACC championship game being nearly 16 point underdogs to Florida, a team that didn't even make the SEC championship game, and a Florida team with a backup QB.

I was rooting for Clemson v Ohio st because I get irritated by buckeye fans but any neutral observer could see that ohio state was the better overall football team and if they played 10 times the Buckeyes win 6 or 7 out of 10. They were better from top to bottom.

Playing in the LA Superdome a few hours away from their campus in front of a crowd that will be 70% LSU backers does create an advantage, trust me. The noise level disruption on key plays for Clemson when trevor is barking out signals presnap, will make a difference.
