I’ve had some real kick in the nuts moments celebrating thinking I’ve won an important bet late only to notice a minute later the ref holding his ear walking to cheek the VAR.

I had a huge bet on Manchester City vs Tottenham at home last year and they should’ve been up 3 but it was still tied later and Sterling scored in the 95th minute and everyone was going nuts. People didn’t even notice the ref later went and checked bc of a new rule where a glanced ball off the arm that led up to the goal and they overturned it. Even the Tottenham players and coaches were surprised and a little apologetic. Awful rule. Keep VAR in World Cup only imo. And only for offsides and blatant calls in the box to award penalty shots if missed at first
