magic were up 97-90 with 4:44 left as 6.5 pt dogs and lost 102 to 109 because someone fouled with 3 seconds left and then they didn't even run down the court to fire a last second 3 (that no one would contest 95% of the time)

I had the Magic too... They were down by as many as 18 points in that game and stormed back, like you said, to take a substantial enough of a lead that they had no business losing ATS. I went from kinda sorta counting it as a loss to counting it as a likely win, only to be fudged in the final minutes and lose by a half point. I'm friends with Leon Wood and he likes his cushy NBA reffing job.. We went to the same Catholic school growing up here in Santa Monica, he was a good basketball player as well..

there was 17 secs left in game 14 on shot clock. brooklyn throws up h alf court three ball misses the rim. And somehow the clock is down to zero. No Shot clock violation. Straight to o.t no review.

About 5 or 6 years ago (maybe longer), I had $800 on the Cavs in a meaningless weekday game (I can't even remember who they were playing now). Cavs were like -9 and was up 11 with the ball with 5 seconds left. They inbound the ball to Big Z, who is a great free throw shooter but who the hell would foul down 11 points? Someone on the other team pushes Z 5 feet out of bounds. As he's falling into the stands, he throws the ball in bounds. An opposing player catches the ball and heaves up a 70 foot shot that swooshed in. No foul called, no stop in play, final score, Cavs win by -8. I was fukking sick.
