#40Traffic is going to be horrible. They need to open this resort north of Atlanta. You are going to force all the rich north people to drive south to go to the casino? It's only a 2 hr drive to Cherokee.Comment -

#45Atlanta traffic is the worst I've ever experienced anywhere in America. Like twice as bad as Chicago, Dallas or LA. It was unreal! Augusta, the Atlantic, the parts around the AT and down south by border were nnice. Atlanta horrible city. Traffic everywhere. Fuk.Comment -

#47Bad news for Georgia
The proposed Georgia sports betting tax rate might not even make it out of its first committee, according to one sponsor.
Sen. Burt Jones made it no secret that SB 403 is framed by successful legislation in Tennessee but that he doesn’t necessarily agree with every aspect.
One of those aspects is the 10% tax rate, which is generally seen as the fairest balance for the state and operators.
“That was a starting point in the legislation,” Jones said Tuesday at the Senate Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee hearing. “If it would appease the chair – and I agree with you – we can bop it up to 20% or 25%.”Comment -

#53Legislation to legalize gambling gains support in Georgia Legislature (savannahnow.com)
The Georgia General Assembly convenes Jan. 11, 2021.
“If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen in this next session,” said veteran Georgia House Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Savannah), the chairman of the House Economic Development and Tourism Committee. “The people want it; opinion polls and more importantly public hearings show that. It’s time the legislature give Georgians that opportunity.”Comment -

#55What is unique about this situation is that NONE of you people have ever won a dime in your lives. Nothing but a bunch of worthless individuals with nothing to show for yourselves or your lives.
Rudy, I know that you do not have a lot going for you, but the NASCAR Capitol is in Charlotte NC, which is fast becoming the new centerpiece of the South. Too many blacks in Georgia.Comment -

A bill that would legalize sports betting in Georgia and give tax revenue to the state lottery is in advancing in the state House, despite questions about whether a state constitutional amendment would be required to do so.
The House Economic Development and Tourism Committee voted 20-6 Tuesday to approve House Bill 86, sending it to the full House for more debate.
The bill proposes allowing people 21 and older to bet. It would not allow betting on college or high school sports, and would prohibit betting on certain events such as injuries.Comment -
