NFL has ‘moved on’ from Kaepernick, Roger Goodell says

Any chance free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick had of returning to the NFL has likely passed, according to comments Commissioner Roger Goodell made Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters at the league’s winter meetings in Irving, Texas, Goodell addressed last month’s scheduled Kaepernick workout for NFL teams – an event that all but collapsed when Kaepernick decided at the last minute to relocate it away from the facility he and league officials had agreed upon.

"This was about creating an opportunity. We created that opportunity. It was a unique opportunity, a credible opportunity,” Goodell said, according to Reuters, “and he chose not to take it.

“We’ve moved on,” the commissioner added, suggesting that the league was finished considering Kaepernick for future workouts or team roster openings.

it's all such bullshot, this racism angle.

if you can win, you can play. how many examples do we need?

Hunt is back after beating a woman's arse, josh gordon failed 83 drug tests, antonio brown threatens to choke his 'cracker' GM (still had a job for a month after that and will be back next season).

if you can produce, you have nearly free reign.

it's not that Kap is black

it's that he can not produce in the nfl.

                  Lol...well this is finally over?

The NFL just had that workout so they could say they tried, and place the blame on Kap. Had no intention of allowing him back unless he kissed the ring, which they knew wouldn't happen.

Screw Kap. He is nothing more than a spoiled racist Black. He is a worthless human being.

didn't need the announcement but yeah

it validates everyone who since the kneeling started after he was benched that had the opinion that he would and could have a job as a QB in the league if he wasn't too stubborn to take less money and be a backup somewhere... he isn't starter material and hasn't been for years

he opted out... he had his chances

                        he screwed himself

i love how he screwed himself one last time with the NFL

Jemele Hill's (remember her?) take on Goodell's press conference

In the End, the NFL Proved Colin Kaepernick Right

In pronouncing the outspoken quarterback’s career dead, the league underscored its own unwillingness to let players exercise their own power.

He clearly has some kind of problem with the authority and therefore doesn't belong in any establishment

He manipulated the media so as to try to make himself the authority

That $10 mil he received to settle the collusion lawsuit is basically stolen money
