I wonder what the terms are? How much guaranteed? How many options years and who has the options.
Will need to find the details.

What a bad deal for the Yankees. It will be great for a few years but then???? It will be impossible to dump a guaranteed contract (if it is guaranteed) to another team later.

its baseball... all GTD.... player option after 5th year, no trade clause.

not a bad deal. Owners bring the whole payroll hit home with concessions alone, then throw in the revenue sharing... its a no brainer.

I’m a big advocate of the BvP ancillary stat however three starts versus the Red Sox is not a big enough sample size.

Now there’s talk that the Red Sox are trading Betts, if so take away that 6 for 11 lifetime vs. Cole and now the Red Sox are only 16 for 60 lifetime (.267)
