Rose rushed for three touchdowns, he passed for another and he made plays on both sides of the ball, including a key interception, when the Sailors needed them somebody to deliver.
Mona Shores finishes with a 12-2 record, capping an improbable playoff run. The Sailors lost to crosstown rival Muskegon, 53-0, at home in Week 8, but they regrouped and made history when few pundits believed it could happen.
Mona Shores lost to Warren De La Salle in last year’s Division 2 finals, 29-16. In 2014, only the second time the Sailors appeared in the playoffs, they fell to De La Salle, 44-8.
King, whose roster features three Division I Power-Five commits plus several other big-time players, was seeking its fourth state championship in five seasons. Last year, the Crusaders defeated Mona Shores’ crosstown rival, Muskegon, 41-25, in the Division 3 state finals.

Yep. I'm from that area. Martinez played at Muskegon catholic D8 school before transferring to Muskegon. Pretty sure hes been to finals every year hes been in HS.
