If the Panthers cut him or move him, they save 18 MILLION off the salary cap.

This is an easy decision for them, but finding a team who will pay him 20 MILLION for next season
is asking too much. The only way it happens is if he signs a deal with another team that pays him less
for another 1-2 years. They would essentially be averaging down on cost, that could work for a buyer.

But who would need him, really? How much excitement does he truly bring at this stage, for example,
if you GM the Miami Dolphins, can you really be sure Newton will make your team substantially better?
I don't see him as a fit in Denver. Chicago could be an option. Maybe Tampa Bay if they want to move
away from Winston long term. If he can be relied on to play another 2-4 years, I'd say that's about it,
he's a plug quarterback not a long term, despite his relative youth - he doesn't have the talent as a classic
quarterback to play into his late 30s.
