Jets are signing former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to a one-year deal, sources tell ESPN. Jets GM Joe Douglas was a Ravens’ scout in 2008, when Baltimore drafted Flacco in round one. Now Flacco will rejoin Douglas, and compete for the backup job when he’s healthy and ready.

Darnold is an absolute keeper, as a long suffering fan I've been watching close. Will be interesting to see what transpires now that the Jets are finally serious about upgrading the worst OL in football.
He routinely is the best offensive player on the field for the Jets - that's been a very rare quality for a Jets QB over the past 20+ years. BUT since it's the Jets we're talking about fans around the league haven't noticed. And that's understandable - subtle qualities of losing NFL teams rarely get noticed. But when the Jets start winning his value will be quite clear.

Darnold has the better upside, plus he showed signs last season that he will be alright
now with some protection this season he could be much better

You know it is 2020, not 2012?
Joe Flacco has zero business being on an nfl roster. Guy sucks but then again your dumb ass thinks Goff is a legit qb.

His teams have sucked since 2013 and haven't protected him..
Capping a perfect postseason, the unassuming and unheralded Flacco completed 22 of 33 passes for 287 yards and three first-half touchdowns Sunday, earning Super Bowl MVP honors for leading the Ravens to a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Ravens have had competitive teams with a very good OL since SB win in 13. Problem was Flacco. He sucks. If it wasn’t for him getting knocked out of game, Harbaugh would have been fired because Joe Flacco couldn’t complete a pass to save his life.
