They were up 23-14 with 7 minutes left and had the ball on Illinois 20 yard line. RB fumbles (instead at worst getting a FG). Illinois scores TD in 4 plays to make it 23-21. Wisconsin next possession when trying to run out the clock, QB throws an INT at midfield instead of at worst punting.

This was a game the Badgers dominated statistically, but made enough bad plays to lose. 3-1 turnover margin

There is such things as overrated amd Wisconsin was that. Their defense was exposed, their run game was average, and below average pass game.

They were out coached.

Sorry, but thats bs. College kids clearly look ahead & occasionally teams do it in the nfl. Thats human nature. THe issue is WI just isn't that good. THey were horrible last year and you can't turn it around that fast. Illini also showed last week that they are playing hard. They suck overall and were down 28-0 to Michigan, but rallied back to 28-23 at one point. Bottom line WI is just too slow to hang with the big boys. Too many white kids. Teams like WI and Iowa can have some good years, but lack of athletes will get them every time
