My Reds are the only team to sweep the playoffs since they went to divisional play. The Big Red Machine of 1976. Of course back then it was just the NL championship and then WS. They swept Philly 3-0 and the Thurman Munson/Reggie Jackson Yankees 4-0. Doubt it ever happens now with 3 rounds. Thats 11 games

Well Over 7.5 looks tough. Sort of thinking Verlander might look like he did against Tampa in that last one. Houston hasn't really busted out either. Yankees pitching is underrated and now Severino is back as well. They may beat Houston and the Nats 4-1

Reminds me of how tennis has evolved. I'm not a tennis guy, but I remember Boras Becker, Agassi, Bjon Borg, Jimmy Connors, etc. Occasionally I'd watch a little bit and they had some great rallies. Now they serve so damn hard that long rallies are pretty rare I think. Everyone throws so hard in baseball and the guys are bigger then ever.....just let their 95 mph speed provide the power and hit it 375 to RF for a HR. Not many steals. Rare hit-n-runs. Game is even more stationary then the steroid era

Well looks like Scherzer and Strasburg will be rested. Nats have plenty of bats. Love to see Rendon and Soto hit in Yankee Stadium. Zimmerman is swinging it now. If they get Turner and Eaton going then they can put up alot of runs. Matt Adams fat ass could get jammed and reach the RF porch in Yankee Stadium. Their pen would doom them though most likely. I really don't want to see Houston/Nats
