I wouldn't say the starting pitching controls the entire outcome especially in today's game. Bullpen has never been bigger factor in baseball. Also if the starter does shut down the opposing team he has to rely on his hitters to put up runs for him. As a qb can put up enough points on his own

Im not opposed to the idea of an all in type bet. I used to do this all the time. shit, it was the ONLY way I wagered. I just would never do it on a baseball game. there is too many variables to consider. where as in basketball I can have faith that the best players will deliver in the most clutch moments because that is just how the game is played.
